Castle Hill Resort and Spa

When the snow melts, there is still plenty to do here in Okemo Valley! Fall is the traditional leaf-peeping time, when visitors come to enjoy the cacophony of brilliant colors, from rich reds and russets to deep golden yellows. For many, fall in Vermont is their favorite time of year!

Yet spring and summer are also wonderful times for a family vacation or romantic weekend getaway. Hike the beautiful Okemo Mountain Resort. Play golf on one of the many nearby courses in Central and Southern Vermont.

The Okemo Valley Golf Course is located right in Ludlow, Vermont and features bent-grass greens, fairways, and tees. The Proctor-Pittsford Country Club is located in Proctor and is a semi-private club. The Green Mountain National is in Killington, and features a resort-style course that will challenge players of all abilities. Additionally, Windam Golf Club at Tater Hill and the Crown Point Country Club are within a short drive from the Castle Hill Resort & Spa and The Pointe Hotel.

Hiking, biking, fly-fishing, horseback riding, antiquing, and sight-seeing are popular throughout the spring, summer, and fall. For resort guests who want to take in some family-friendly sights, visit former President Calvin Coolidge’s Homestead, the Vermont Country Store, the Billings Farm & Museum, the Sugarbush Cheese & Maple Syrup farm, and Fletcher Farm Craft School.

Quechee and Woodstock Vermont are only about a 40-minute drive from the resort, where a multitude of things to do await visitors. From Simon Pearce Glassblowing and Restaurant to the Billings Farm and Museum to VINS Nature Center to viewing the Quechee Gorge itself either via looking down from the bridge or walking down a nature trail directly to a part of the gorge, there is something for everyone in this beautiful and quaint area of Vermont.

Flower Shop

Throughout the summer, outdoor concerts are given on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings in Ludlow, Cavendish, and Chester, Vermont. The style of music varies, from jazz and blues to classical and rock & roll.

Another activity is the many craft fairs throughout the state. You can buy locally made products or just browse through and enjoy the beautiful Vermont and New England-made arts and crafts.

So no matter what time of year you choose to stay with us, you will always find something fun to do. And please feel free to ask our Front Desk staff for recommendations, directions, or any assistance you may need.

At the Castle Hill Resort & Spa we are always at your service.
